Synodical or Churchwide Service: Served on Synod Council previous to retirement in 1996, and currently concluding six years of service since retirement. Have served a number of years on Synod Council Executive Committee. Served as a member of the Mission for the 21st Century Task Force.
Community-Related Service: St. Mary’s Rotary Club member for 30 years including one year as president; currently member of Port Clinton Rotary Club; Danbury High School Coffin Memorial Scholarship Committee

Why you are qualified and what particular gifts you possess for this position: The Synod Council has asked me to use my 47 years of experience in pastoral ministry and my time on synod council to serve on the Discipline Committee and I am willing to serve if elected.

Personal Statement:
Why you are qualified and what particular gifts you possess for this position: I have always been interested in human behavior and psychology. I have taken numerous courses in discipline and classroom management. Juvenile corrections jobs are on my resume; that coupled with 17 years in industry (9 years of that in management) and 17 years in education has prepared me for almost all situations. The KSU Center for Peaceful Change prided itself in amicable and peaceful conclusions to any situation. The Center was created out of the May 1970 riots at KSU.
