Cross Training:
Come And Celebrate, Learn And Grow!

CANCELLED
Due to low registration numbers, and to maximize the stewardship of everyone’s time, this event has been cancelled. The workshops will be offered at the Synod Assembly on May 18-19 in Bowling Green.

Cross Training – Oct. 28CROSS TRAINING is a cornucopia of opportunities for ministry enhancement.  It is a place to learn ways to develop existing ministries, and a place to teach others about exciting things happening in your ministry. It is a time to joyfully worship God through the leadership of the Injili evangelistic team from Tanzania.  It is a gathering of many ministry leaders from across the Northwestern Ohio Synod, sharing fellowship in Christ Jesus.

Who should come?
Everyone in your congregation who is interested in finding new ways or improving current means of communicating the good news of Jesus!  Workshops will cover almost every area of congregational ministry.  Instead of having several different synod learning events this fall, everything will be brought together under one roof so all leaders can come together at Cross Training to learn from those who are have developed expertise in ministry.

Workshops

Cross Training Purpose Statement:
Cross Training is designed to advance the six guiding principles of the Northwestern Ohio Synod:

  • We gather to recognize and celebrate the Lordship of Christ Jesus
  • The cross of Christ is at the heart of all we say and do in this event
  • The entirety of the event is designed to enhance the gifts and increase the knowledge of all the baptized to strengthen us for God’s mission to the world
  • This event will help our clergy and lay leadership to be empowered for ministry and better equipped to do their work
  • Cross Training helps us recognize that we already have all the gifts we need to be in mission, and it helps us to recognize and utilize those gifts
  • We best embody Christ when we work together.  Enough said!
