Is Theme For 2004 Assembly

As we approach the 2004 Northwestern Synod Assembly (May 20-22), Bishop Lohrmann invites our member congregations to pray for the work of this Assembly, particularly so as our congregations gather in worship on Sunday, May 16. The congregation is the church but not the whole of the church. An assembly reminds us that this synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, are a part of the whole of the Body of Christ, the “one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church.” May our worship and our actions reflect that identity.

Please make plans to join the assembly for opening worship and the Lord’s Supper on Thursday, May 20 at 4 p.m. in Kobacker Hall on the campus of Bowling Green State University. The public also is invited to the Morning Eucharist on Saturday, May 22 at 8:30 a.m. in the same location. Kobacker Hall is located in the Moore Musical Arts Center. [map]
