I served as secretary at First English Lutheran Church, where I was a member, for  many years. The church closed in 2006. I now am a very happy and active member of All Saints Lutheran, Toledo. I am employed full time as the Administrative Assistant for Toledo Area Ministries and Program Administrator for its Feed Your Neighbor program. I serve as Chairperson for the Erase the Hate Campaign and sit on many other committees and programs with which TAM is involved -  www.tamohio.org

My hubby and I have two adult sons in their mid-twenties (one happily married, the other I still have hope for). I am excited to have been elected to attend the 2008 Triennial Convention in Salt Lake City and am always available to listen to the concerns of the TC Women.

SON LIGHT EDITOR -- Brenda Shibler

I am a member (actually a life-long member) of St. Martin Lutheran Church, Archbold.  At St. Martin's I serve as Parish Secretary/ Administrative Assistant, sometimes finder of lost "stuff" and keeper of the church calendar.  I am at the church 3 mornings a week, some evenings, and occasionally on Saturday.  I am usually found in the Office on Sunday morning to answer questions, collect announcements, run off copies and make sure the Pastor's stole is on straight and he has batteries for his microphone.  I also sing in the Chancel Choir, teach Catechism on Wednesday and occasionally teach a Sunday School class.  I share the Bible Study Leadership for the Mary Martha Circle.  I have also served on the board for the Women of  St. Martin's as well as the Maumee Valley Conference.  I am currently in my 5th or 6th or 7th year as Church Council Secretary.   I received my Master's Degree in Lay Ministry in 1995 from Trinity Seminary, Columbus.
When I am not at the church ( or the other 36 hours a week) I work for Style Solutions, Inc, Archbold, as a Customer Service Rep.  I answer the phone, take orders, enter orders, answer questions about the urethane products we make and generally help the customers who call in.  I have worked at Style Solutions on and off since 1979.
I have one sister, Linda.  I have no pets because they would get lonesome being home alone a lot.  I like to read, play simple computer games, cross stitch.  I am not much of a TV watcher so don't ask me if I have seen . . . because the answer will probably be I don't think so.
I am blessed to be serving on the Synodical Board again.  It is fun to watch God at work in the Women of the Church.
